Windows XP Setup

1. From the START menu, select Control Panel

2. Click the Network and Internet Connections icon

3. Click the Setup or Change Your Internet Connection icon

4. Click the Setup button

5. Welcome to the New Connection Wizard should appear

6. Click Next

7. Select Connect to the Internet

8. Click Next

9. Select Setup my connection manually

10. Click Next

11. Select Connect using dial up modem

12. Click Next

13. In the ISP Name field, type in Internet Galaxy

14. Click Next

15. In the Phone Number field, type in the local access number

        *Note- The local access number for Bakersfield, Ca. is 241-1890. For all other

          local access numbers, please telephone our offices at 661-396-3500.

16. Click Next

17. Type in your username (case sensitive) and password (case sensitive). Retype password in confirm password field. Check all check boxes

18. Click Next

19. Completing the New Connection Wizard should appear. Place a check in the add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop check box.

20. Click Finish

21. Double click on the newly created Internet Galaxy icon located on your desktop

22. Click on the Properties button

23. Click on the Networking Tab.

24. Click on the Settings button

25. Uncheck the box labeled “Enable LCP extensions"

26. Click OK

27. Click the Dial button to connect to Internet Galaxy

28. Once you have established a connection, open your web browser (I.e. Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator)
